How to copy Emma Watson's perfectly messy Oscars hair
Emma Watson always takes risks with her awards show fashion choices — and the 2014 Academy Awards are no exception. The Bling Ring star opted to go messy at the formal event. We have to copy the style, so we asked Jasmine, a stylist with Oscar Blandi Salon in New York City, to give us tips on recreating the look at home.
"Emma Watson's messy textured hair is softly pinned back with some bobby pins and finished off with some accessories," says Jasmine.
To get the look:
- Use texture spray to add volume and cushion for the teasing for the top of head.
- Create the side part after teasing the brush back; leave some hair out on the side by the sideburns.
- Use bobbie pins to pull the hair back, folding the hair over.
- Leave the ends of the hair out to give it a messy look
- Use a hair accessory to pin into the back and add hairspray to finish off the look.

Demi Lovato: What are these celebs doing to their heads?
Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato is no stranger to hair color experimentations, and it almost makes sense that she dyed her hair neon pink for her Neon Lights Tour. Lovato took this look to a whole new level by firing up the electric razor and trimming one side of her head. And guess what? If you don't like it, her Twitter post informs us that, "IDGAF." Well, then.

Nicole Richie
Since her infamous days with Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie has really transformed into a respectable celebrity. That said, just as we were mentally begging Kelly Osbourne to please, puh-lease get rid of the washed out purple hair, Richie follows suit. Purple can be a fun way to pull yourself out of a hair rut, just not this shade. It looks like it belongs on an aging witch from a Disney movie. We have to hand it to her, though — as much as we hope this look is short-lived — Richie wears it well.

Kate Bosworth
Naturally blond Kate Bosworth is no stranger to hair color and felt so strongly about being a redhead for her new movie Still Alice that she actively lobbied for it. She told Cinema Blaze of her part in the new movie, "I wanted to be a redhead and I was hellbent on that." Looks like Bosworth got her way as she is a "ginger," for now.
Liza Minnelli
Liza Minnelli, the subject of the controversial Ellen DeGeneres cross-dressing Oscar joke, shows us that hair with attitude does not have an expiration date. The 67-year-old icon rocked a shock of blue hair for the 2014 Oscars.

A purple-haired Ireland Baldwin finds herself newly single
Many men will be rejoicing at the latest news that model Ireland Baldwin is newly single. That's right, according to People, the 18-year-old model has split from her boyfriend Slater Trout.
The former couple met via social media after they had been introduced by a friend in the fall of 2012, and Baldwin and her beau appeared to be very smitten with each other.
And the cute pair just recently made their first red carpet appearance together at the 50th anniversary of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue event in Los Angeles, California, on Jan. 14.
Ireland Baldwin: "I am not my parents" >>
Although Baldwin is young, many believed she was very serious about her surfer beau, and at one point, the pair even sparked engagement rumors when she was spotted wearing a ring.
According to People, the model previously confessed how close she felt to her man, saying, "I would say he is my best friend. We have our moments but that's rare. We can act stupid in public, private or wherever and we are always laughing."
However, it appears that's all over now. And the reason for the split apparently came from Baldwin.
A source revealed to Us Weekly, "Her life has gotten crazy in the past year or so."
"She is really trying to keep her momentum going as a model and she can't do that and go to school and have a boyfriend. She's young, she always had an idea that it wouldn't last forever."
And the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger isn't only making changes to her romantic life, she's also made some rather dramatic changes to her physical appearance. The beautiful model has uploaded images to her Instagram account that show her sporting a new lilac hair color.
According to Us Weekly, Baldwin wrote of her hair, "I could get used to this." She later added, "Purple hair and work out clothes really don't go together. Like I may have to give up physical activity for my purple hair."
Photo tutorial: Naya Rivera's perfect waves at the People's Choice Awards

Get Naya's sexy waves
Glee's Naya Rivera walked the red carpet at the 2014 People's Choice Awards with a sexy hairstyle that you can totally recreate yourself. Follow the tutorial steps below to get her volume-packed waves.
Begin this look with clean hair. You'll need plenty of volume and "umph" for this style and natural oil from the scalp will weigh hair down.
Spray a root lifting spray on the roots of hair — you can do this on dry or wet hair. If you're doing this style on dry hair, be sure to not over spray the root lifter. You'll only need to spray a light amount.
After you spray, hold head upside down (on both dry and wet hair) and blow dry hair until the root lifting product is completely dry. If styling with wet hair, blow dry hair upside down until hair is mostly dry. Then flip up and continue to dry as usual.
Brush hair completely. You should have lots of great volume going! If you have naturally flat, fine hair, try backcombing after you've followed steps 1-3. This will help your hair type hold volume.
Using a 1-1/4-inch curling iron, curl large sections of hair going back away from the face. Leave the ends of hair out of the curling iron so the curls look unfinished. Tip: Mix up the curl patterns so the curls aren't uniform.
Once hair is curled, brush out completely.
Make a side part.
Finger through curls and tuck hair behind the ear on the same side as your part. Tip: Make sure you design the front of your hair to sweep dramatically across the forehead/eye. Finish with a light mist of hairspray.
